WHAT TO EXPECT AT A SESSION

Chiropractic is a profession, not a treatment, and so a chiropractor can offer a range of different treatment modalities. Therefore, treatment may include manual therapy (adjustments of your spine and joints), soft tissue work, acupuncture, exercises and other techniques. This is what makes chiropractic suitable for all the family, as treatments are adapted to suit the very young and very old!

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence recommends chiropractic for treatment of low back pain, sciatica and neck pain. Consequently, they recommend GPs refer their patients for:
- Manual therapy
- A structured exercise programme
- Acupuncture (Philippa is fully trained and registered to provide acupuncture as part of her treatments.)

Whilst you might come to see us for back and neck pain, we can also help with a range of other problems related to muscles, joints and nerves in any part of the body. In addition, your entire physical and psychological wellbeing is taken into account during your assessment as this can have an impact on your response to care. Remember, chiropractors don’t just relieve pain- we help you take control of it.
