Chiropractic is the third largest primary healthcare profession in the world after medicine and dentistry. Chiropractors are experts in the mechanics of the body, with an in-depth understanding of how the body should perform. We therefore know what can problems can occur through areas of dysfunction in your body, and can help restore normal function to these areas. In doing so, chiropractic can help relieve the pain and discomfort that arises from injury, stress, poor posture, lack of exercise and everyday strains!

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A SESSION

Chiropractic is a profession, not a treatment, and so a chiropractor can offer a range of different treatment modalities. Therefore, treatment may include manual therapy (adjustments of your spine and joints), soft tissue work, acupuncture, exercises and other techniques. This is what makes chiropractic suitable for all the family, as treatments are adapted to suit the very young and very old!

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence recommends chiropractic for treatment of low back pain, sciatica and neck pain. Consequently, they recommend GPs refer their patients for:
- Manual therapy
- A structured exercise programme
- Acupuncture (Philippa is fully trained and registered to provide acupuncture as part of her treatments.)

Whilst you might come to see us for back and neck pain, we can also help with a range of other problems related to muscles, joints and nerves in any part of the body. In addition, your entire physical and psychological wellbeing is taken into account during your assessment as this can have an impact on your response to care. Remember, chiropractors don’t just relieve pain- we help you take control of it.

Coaching is a unique profession, profoundly different to consulting, therapy, or counselling. If there is a gap between where you are now, and where you want to be, coaching is for you. A coach will not only help you close that gap faster than if you were going it alone, but they will also challenge you to overcome limiting beliefs that are holding you back and think bigger, so you can achieve more than you ever felt possible.

The coaching process helps you to identify and achieve your goals by examining both the situation as it is at the moment, what obstacles stand in your way, and help you identify a course of action to make the very most out of life. With their expertise, a coach can help you set the right goals, achieve structure and increase your productivity without brow-beating or nagging.

It is fundamentally about empowerment- whether you want to lose weight, become more motivated or increase your confidence, improve your relationships, or even go for a promotion at work, a coach will empower you to take charge of your life and find the solution to problems by shedding light on difficult situations and acting as a sounding board through tough decisions. With objective insight, perspective and support you can take your life, business or career to the next level.
